Thua Thien Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company, formerly known as Hue Water Plant, was established in 1909. In 2009, the Company successfully implemented the Quang Te 2 project increasing capacity from 27,500m3/day to 82,500m3 /day and night. At the same time, the Company received the Second Class Independence Medal, announced safe water supply throughout the province, and was recognized by the World Health Organization as the first unit to announce safe water supply in Vietnam.
