Working principle and structure

Principle of Filter press 

The dewatering mechanism of filter-press consists of a hydraulic cylinder, which tightly closes the plate and frame presses. A feed pump fills the frames with dilute slurry. Then use pressure, compression to reduce the volume of the liquid.

Sludge is condensed from liquid to cake form with low moisture content. Exceed water is discharged out by filter cloth. When the frames are full of sludge, the machine will have to stop, called is a batch. Each batch will be pressed from 30 minutes to 8 hours depending on the type of the initial sludge.

Filter cloth is made from PP, PE, PPS, ... resistant to acidic and alkaline environments. The sludge cake is thin, about 30mm thick. The moisture content of pressed sludge reaches 65 - 68%, which is extremely impressive.

Compressed air is blown into plates to remove steam, at the end of the pressing process. Thus, the sludge cake could reach the highest possible dryness. The system automatically opens the cake outlet to discharge the sludge and proceed to the next batch.
